New kid in town

After several delays, the new Alfa Romeo Giulietta has finally arrived.
This is the replacement for the five-door 147, but can also be viewed as a grown-up Mito. The aesthetic similarities are many, especially when sporting 18-inch Teledial alloys. The hidden rear-door hinges from the 147 and 156 are back which, albeit a bit fake, gives the car a sporty 3-door look. I got my hands on the first two cars to be sold on the Norwegian market and did some photographing.

This is the car that shows Golf-owners that you don´t need to compromise in the style and design-department when buying a sensible five-door hatchback. The cars shown here both have the 1,4-litre TBi engine, the white with an entertaining 120 horsepower, the black with even more entertaining 170.

So, it´s a winner in the looks-department and exciting to drive, as an Alfa should be. The final question is, will the usual Golf owner stray from the path of misguided sensibleness and try something a bit more spicy..? Guess we´ll have to wait and see...

Automotive photography served with a side of motoring journalism

This blog has been created as a general creative outlet both photowise and writing. I try to emphasize the dramatic aspects of my photo objects in various ways, and if I have anything to say about them (or other things), I probably will. Please feel free to leave a comment. Enjoy..!
